The Beetle Chair has since its introduction in 2013 being well received by end-consumers as well as interior architects. Due to its appealing design, outstanding comfort and unique customisation possibilities, the chair can be seen in many of the most renown restaurants around the world.

The fully upholstered chair carries strong references to the design duo GamFratesi’s inspirational source; the insect world, more specific the world of beetles. Not just the name indicates their inspiration, but also the characteristic elements of the beetles’ sections have been interpreted – shape, shells, sutures, rigid outside and soft inside. The wide range of upholstery options and different bases make it possible to put your personal touch to the chair and create one of its kind.

A favourite with interior designers, architects and design lovers the world over, the ever-popular sculptural style – inspired by the anatomy and aesthetic of the eponymous insect – has seen many different interpretations. Originally in a limited palette of chic pastels, lush blues, and rich greens, the prolific Beetle has bloomed into a series of spin-off designs – from vibrant, patterned designs to a more affordable plastic model.

Available in greys, navy blues, dark pinks, light and dark greens, the new collection features the Beetle Chair (both dining and lounge options), as well as the Beetle Bar Chair and Sofa, each upholstered in luxurious Jabana fabric.

Stain-resistant and more durable than velvet, the introduction of Jabana suede-effect fabric makes this new range more resilient to spills, wear and tear, and has a gorgeous suede-like texture, making it super comfy, too. And, aside from over 60 different colours, you can also pick from brass, chrome and black powder-coated steel for the legs.
